Local stall holders love the Sunday Night Market, where all important
facilities such as running water and electricity are provided. For non-
food stalls it is a very affordable way to sell goods. There are no long-
term contracts, simply book your place on a weekend by weekend
basis - it really is that easy!
Look back on the best wedding or any
other social event you’ve attended and
you’ll recognise the ingredients which
made it such a success - a magical venue,
food that everyone loved, the people you
most wanted around you - and the feeling
that the place was all yours to enjoy.
Well, getting the right friends together is
for you to sort - the rest you can leave to
This brilliantly equipped function centre with its broad deck seems to merge into
the stately trees and green fairways of the Takapuna golf course. Far removed
from residential streets, you have the freedom to wind up the music/PA system
and celebrate the way you want to.
Owner Peter Trimble has operated Fairway Lodge since it was established 20
years ago. He was taken by the natural surroundings, so planned a stylish but
simple function centre that makes the most of the setting.
From its ample parking (next door to the North Shore Events Centre) to the
reception foyer, main lounge and dining room opening to wide decks, it’s ideally
set up for the marriage ceremony as well as the celebration afterwards.
Peter comes from a food background, and he and his staff certainly know the
meaning of the term hospitality. “You have to get the food right,” he insists.
“It’s the aspect most people comment on when they tell us how much they’ve
enjoyed Fairway Lodge.”
Peter and his staff have presided over the A-Grade chef’s kitchen for a good
few years now. All cooking and food preparation is done on site - with Peter
unsahamedly picky about getting things perfect!
They cater for everything from seminar finger-food to full banquet dinners -
for weddings, birthdays, prizegivings, reunions, midwinter Christmas and other
events. They’ve even had spit roasts on the deck.
Service clubs, ladies groups and
company achievers events also
use the premises, which offers a
variety of room sizes and catering
services. A boadroom for 20, or a
wedding for 200 - Fairway Lodge
can accommodate you.
With a full bar and catering service
providing fantastic food and wine,
you might be excused for thinking
that this lovely location has a
premium price tag - nothing could be further from the truth. Their all-inclusive
wedding packages are very affordable. The full food and beverage package is
the most popular (95 percent of wedding parties choose this option,) proving
how much people like this way of budgeting.
You will also be happy in the knowledge that, because yours will be the only
wedding reception held that day, you won’t be rushed.
Other services are available on request, including DJ, bands, photographer,
florist, entertainers and cake decoration.
Fairway Lodge is located at the end of Argus Place, Takapuna - it’s only minutes
from Auckland City, far more accessible than most city venues!
