Avondale College is a large multi-cultural secondary school with
over 2600 students.
We have a vibrant International Department managing our short-
term and long-term students from all over the world. There is an
exciting opportunity for a person to join this dynamic and busy
team as the International Manager. The position is full-time and
will involve some international marketing travel.
Candidates would preferably have an undergraduate degree and
New Zealand management experience. Teaching experience is
desirable, however not essential. You will need sound computer
skills, particularly Word and Excel and preferably experience using
databases, accounting systems, and Publisher.
You will need to be systematic and process driven and at peak
times, be willing to help out as and when required. High energy,
a sense of fun, and being an integral part of this small team is
as important as technical skills. A current New Zealand driver's
license is essential.
Ideally you will have experience dealing with teenagers and
communicating with people for whom English is not their first

Primary Care Population Health Advisor -- North, South and West
• Auckland Central, Auckland
ProCare is New Zealand's largest Primary Healthcare Organisation (PHO), supporting a network
of qualified Doctors (GPs), Nurses and General Practice teams across the wider Auckland region.
We provide professional, quality family healthcare to more than 800,000 Aucklanders from
Helensville to Port Waikato. ProCare is a successful and innovative organisation with an important
leadership role in the health sector.
We are seeking passionate, dynamic team players to join our primary health care teams for Manukau,
North and West.
The Primary Care Population Health Advisor will be reporting to the Regional Network Managers and
will act as a liaison between ProCare practices, ProCare teams, local stakeholders and community
representatives in the allotted area of responsibility. The person will be responsible for health promotion
programmes including the practice based Health Promoting Practices Quality Framework.
In this role, your work will involve:
Practice Support Services -- Assist practices to implement the Health Promoting Practices Quality
Framework. Reviewing and critiquing existing population health and health promotion programme
delivery within practices, ensuring these are meeting the desired practice goals and outcomes.
Liaise between community organisations and practices.
Health Promotion Programme Management -- Overseeing and reviewing delivery of health promotion
programmes by outsourced contractors and providing expertise and support as required. Co-ordinate and
evaluate all programmes ensuring required outcomes are achieved.
Relationship Management -- Develop strong internal relationships within ProCare team, build 'trusted
advisor' role with relevant stakeholders within practices including GPs, Nurses and Practice Managers
within the community including but not limited to local government, community groups, churches, marae
Skills, knowledge, abilities and attributes:
• Relevant tertiary qualification in public health and/or nutrition
• Relevant clinical qualification -- for example nursing
• Team work demonstrates honesty and positive team interactions to achieve team goals and actively
contributes to team effectiveness
• Strategic thinker -- takes a strategic view of area and ensures others do also
• Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders
• Ability to relate to and work with priority population groups including Maori and Pacific
• Proven project management and evaluation experience
• Understanding of strategic planning and policy advice
• High level of time management and personal work organisation
