There's no place like home -- that's why
most people choose to stay in their homes

need In-Home help to remain at home, and
that's where Graceful Care can personalise

Graceful Care, based in central Auckland is
an independent company which specialises

Rose at Graceful Care has provided a Companion Carer role for my mother during the past year.
The role started at a time when my mother, who suffers from Dementia, was becoming
increasingly difficult for the staff at her Retirement Village to work with. She was at times
uncooperative and stubborn and did not willingly accept help from anyone she did not know.
Rose gently managed an introduction and patiently worked with Mum until she was accepted
- a difficult transition. This period of introduction and getting used to Rose's involvement
proved critical to Mum's long term acceptance of help. She now views her carers from Graceful
Care as her allies and willingly works with them.
My family have been impressed with the calm and unobtrusive manner that the Graceful Care
staff have worked with Mum showing initiative in getting her involved in a range of activities
and catering for her personal needs as required. Rose and her staff have always been very
flexible putting Mum's needs and welfare first.
Finally the social worker from Mental Health (ADHB) who works with Mum has commented on
how much calmer and contented Mum is since Graceful Care started working with Mum.
We highly recommend Graceful Care after our positive experience with them for the past year.
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that we can recommend the services of Graceful Care,
to anyone who wants to improve the quality of life for their elderly relatives, whether they are still
in their own home or in a rest home.
My 93 year old mother is in one of Auckland's finest retirement villages, in a studio apartment.
However her advanced age and frailty faced us with the choice of either putting her in the rest home,
with a loss of independence and reduced living conditions or seeking extra daily assistance.
Thanks goodness I found Graceful Care. Rose took such great care in understanding Mum's
personality and needs and she took the time to find the right caregiver for her. Rose and Mum's
caregiver, Tania treat our mother as if she was their own, with respect, patience and real love
and affection. Over time Tania has established a relationship of trust and caring with our Mum
that has enabled her to achieve outcomes to ensure her health and well-being are maintained at
a level she never enjoyed before and ensure that she lives out her remaining years in good health
Tania is Mum's champion in all things, and she is always thinking strategically about how to
improve her life. Tania and Rose go well beyond any best practice standard and have exceeded our
expectations of care in a way that has brought immense relief and happiness to our whole family.
Should any prospective client wish to speak with me in person, I am available.
